Updating Details of the SIYB Membership
The Executive Council of the SIYB Association took an important step to update the member database by launching a Google Form and inviting all the SIYB Trainers to feed their current information. Although a majority of the SIYB Trainers and SIYB Master Trainers entered their current details into the database, there are a considerable number of SIYB Trainers who still must feed their current details. SIYB Secretariat makes an earnest request from the SIYB Trainers who have not been able to feed their current details to do so at your earliest using the link furnished below:

Executive Council helps the Management in the Annual Stock Taking Exercise
SIYB Secretariat facilitated an ‘Annual Stock-Taking’ event, graced by two Members of the SIYB Executive Council and implemented by the Accountant as part of the final Accounts preparation of the Financial Year 2023/2024 and held at the SIYB Secretariat on April 02, 2024. Based on the findings of this endeavor, some critical decisions are to be taken by the Executive Council to streamline the inventory management of the SIYB Secretariat.
SIYB Association lends Technical Hands to the Dept. of Industries, NP to roll out SIYB Cycle
SIYB Association extends its technical acumen to the Department of Industries, Northern Province, to help its trainers, who were trained on SIYB Methodology during an SIYB ToT in June 2023, to complete the GYB and SYB training seminars and to complete the SIYB Trainer Cycle to become eligible for the SIYB License. The Department of Industries has completed 16 GYB training seminars and 13 SYB training seminars successfully in the entire Northern Province. Currently, the SIYB Secretariat is facilitating the Department to prepare its trainers to implement 15 IYB Training Programs throughout the Northern Province during July - August 2024 and by supplying the required IYB manuals.
SIYB Association is gathering inputs for SIYB material updating
The SIYB Secretariat approached the SIYB Master Trainers through email to obtain suggestions and inputs for the SIYB Material updating and developing new materials recently. Few Master Trainers shared their views and submitted their innovative inputs for this process.
SIYB Association joins hands with the BMIC to roll out impactful SIYB Activities
Through an initial discussion with the Senior Manager, Enterprise Development Services, Berendina Micro Investment Company, one of the most active Member Organizations of the SIYB Association, in April 2024, SIYB Association proposed a plan to roll out impactful SIYB Activities by the BMIC. Using the channels of the SIYB Association, it is promoting the opportunity to offer SIYB Training to the clientele of the BMIC among the SIYB Trainers in both Sinhala and Tamil languages. A joint information session was conducted by the BMIC with the SIYB Association on July 09 to introduce the enterprise development services of BMIC and the immediate opportunity where SIYB trainers could lend their expertise to branches of BMIC in ten districts of Sri Lanka. While BMIC will manage the contracts with the SIYB Trainers to deliver SIYB Activities in the BMIC branches, the SIYB Association will work out the quality assurance and reporting mechanism with the branch staff of the BMIC.
