Results and Impact of the SIYB Program

• The SIYB Program in Sri Lanka has built the capacity of 70 BDS Organizations to train them on SIYB Methodology and to implement SIYB Activities.
• Over 3,000 SIYB Training activities have been completed across the Island by the SIYB Partner Organizations and by the SIYB Trainers.
• 64,663 existing entrepreneurs were trained to improve their business management practices.
• 64,510 Business Start-ups were supported to formulate their bankable business plans.
• Another 64,384 potential entrepreneurs were trained to generate their concrete business ideas to pursue on an enterprise journey.
• 26% of the SIYB training users were YOUTH.
• 69% of the SIYB training users were FEMALE.
• The SIYB Program was able to reach the North and East of Sri Lanka, even during the war period.
• 10% of the SIYB training users were from the Northern Province.
• Another 16% of the SIYB training users were from the Eastern Province.
