Ms. Rukmani Rathnayake, Hon. President of the SIYB Association of Sri Lanka exchanged the MoU with Mr. Buvanekabahu Perera, Secretary General/CEO of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce. They were joined by Mr. Erandika Dissanayake (extreme right), the National Project Coordinator of ILO, and Ms. Manori Dissanayke (extreme left), the Senior Assistant Secretary General of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce.

SIYB Association of Sri Lanka entered into a historical consultancy agreement with the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce, the Oldest Chamber Movement in Asia, and the leading Chamber of Commerce in Sri Lanka, on February 05, 2024, to implement ILO SALE Project training programs. The main intervention envisioned was to implement customized SYB Training Programs and their follow-ups under the ILO SALE Program. Sixteen SIYB Master Trainers and SIYB Trainers, who were previously trained by this ILO SALE Program, were trained through a virtual RToT program under this assignment to prepare them to deliver 16 customized two-day SYB Programs. Between February 14 and 29, 16 such SYB Programs were completed with the total commitment of these SIYB Master Trainers and SIYB Trainers for school children and vocational training students in Puttalam, Trincomalee, Rathnapura, and Kandy districts. Also, these SIYB Master Trainers and SIYB Trainers offered follow-up services to complete the SYB business plans during February and March.
