In collaboration with the Skills Development and Vocational Education Division of the Ministry of Education, the SIYB Association of Sri Lanka conducted its 49th Training of Trainers (ToT) in February 2023. Altogether, 20 trainer candidates were selected from the seven state institutions in the Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) sector, and all of them successfully completed the ToT. Of those, 7 were female candidates. 65% percent of the ToT program participants were 46 years of age and older. There are now 126 SIYB trainers in the country able to provide continuous and quality SIYB training to the TVET graduates.
