The SIYB Association of Sri Lanka Conferred 13 trainers from the Department of Industries, Northern Province, by certifying them as SIYB Certified Trainers during its Annual General Meeting on November 2, 2024, in Colombo. These newly certified trainers will now be able to extend the reach of SIYB activities to the Northern Province of Sri Lanka. This milestone enables the government sector to leverage the skills of these trainers to deliver targeted training to SMEs in the industry sector, particularly focusing on Tamil medium service users. The newly conferred trainers include Mr. Pathmanathan Raghavan, Mr. Punniyamoorthy Kayalavan, Mr. Constaine Anton Jegan, Mr. Gnanasubramaniam Gnanasambanthan, Mr. Kailenkirinathan Sukinthan, Mrs. Thushyanthi Ganenthiran, Mr. Sinnathamby Inthirakumar, Mr. Rajaratnam Thavakumaran, Mr. Thillaiyampalam Thivakaran, Mr. Raththinasabapathy Gowsikan, Mr. Bastiampillai Oliver Ostin, Mr. Consal Rockesun Dias, and Mrs. Wigneswaran Kayathiri. Further 02 trainers (Mrs. Nimalan Sundaravathany, and Mr. Sriskantharasa Gowsigan) from the same Department conferred in absentia at the same Annual General Meeting.
